Hi Felix,
you should be able to embed map canvas of QGIS in your Qt application
when using qgis_gui library - but you should use development branch
Lib_Refactoring-branch from SVN, probably also SVN trunk will be OK to
use. Currently there's not much documentation on this topic, see
http://wiki.qgis.org/qgiswiki/MapCanvas_API
for more information. I'm
going to write a simple howto on embedding map canvas in near future.
